Where: Here in the house of the Lord.
Why: Because singing to God in praise, thanksgiving, in remembrance and in supplication is what we were made to do. “Sing to Him a new song!”
Who: Those who enjoy singing, who can sing on pitch and who can remember tunes easily or have choir singing experience.
Angel Choir (K - 3rd) :
Is open to all little ones who love to sing. Angel Choir meets conveniently on Sundays from 10:20 - 10:50AM, now in session. We sing 4 Masses a year plus the Christmas Eve Nativity pageant and a Valentine visit to spread joy to seniors in Woodstock.
Youth Choir (4th - 9th):
Is open to singers who have good pitch and read text well. We meet after the 11AM Mass on Sundays 12:15PM - 1:25PM, now in session. This treble choir is more advanced, participating in the Archdiocesan Youth Choir Festival each year before Lent. Our Youth Choir wears robes and sings monthly plus Christmas and Easter. Boys with unchanged voices are especially welcome in our choir.
This adult choir rehearses Thursdays from 7:00 - 8:30PM. If you have sung in a choir in the past, have a good ear and others keep asking “why aren’t you singing in the choir”? This is the group for you. We always need a few more wonderful male singers.
Our Adult Choir sings all styles of music from chant to modern cathedral anthems. Our aim is to sustain this treasury of 12 centuries of beautiful Catholic music. We are one of a few Catholic choirs in this area that is able to do this. This group is truly a family of wonderful Catholics. Please make an appointment if you would like to try choir.
You’ll always have a seat and a parking space for Easter and Christmas and you’ll never have to worry about what to wear!
Lifeteen Mass Choir:
If you have a solo quality voice and would like to sing with this tightly knit praise group, for our Lifeteen Mass, please contact the director, Eric Alexander for an appointment at eamusic@mindspring.com or 404-217-2520.
