The Ministry to the Sick is a pastoral ministry of caring for those hospitalized, in nursing homes, or confined to private homes. The purpose of the ministry is to demonstrate the care and concern of our faith community to the sick and shut-ins and to provide the opportunity to pray with others and to receive the Eucharist.
The Ministry to the Sick allows others in our Church Community to share in the body of our Lord, Jesus Christ through Holy Communion.
If you or a loved one are unable to come to Mass due to special circumstances
and would like to receive Holy Communion

Ministers of Holy Communion
We are all called to be instruments of Christ's peace to others. A very beautiful and rewarding way to do so is to bring Jesus to our Catholic brothers and sisters who are not present with us at Mass due to special circumstances. (such as those in nursing homes, rehab centers, assisted living facilities, etc.).
The Ministers to the Sick serve as a representative from our parish with visitation, encouragement, prayer, and the strength and healing power of the Holy Eucharist. These ministers are trained and formed to conduct a pastoral visit with time to listen and pray about the concerns of the sick or shut-in person and to share the Eucharist with them. They meet with the parishioners on a weekly basis wherever they are located: in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, the hospital, or in private homes.
Ministers of Holy Communion serve God by serving the Church and building it up in love. If you have been trained as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist at St. Michael the Archangel, please prayerfully consider giving of your time and love to others in this very special way. The smiles on the faces of those you serve will touch your heart in ways you have never known.
