AN INVITATION TO PRAYER

In her messages, Our Lady insistently calls upon priests, religious and faithful to gather together with her in fervent prayer and fraternal love, in authentic cenacles as when the first apostles gathered with her in the Upper Room in Jerusalem awaiting the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. What is most important in the world and in the Church today is the preparation for the Second Pentecost through the triumph of her Immaculate Heart. To draw down upon us this gift of the Holy Spirit, we must enter with
her into the cenacle.

She calls us to form cenacles together with her and to multiply and spread them everywhere so that the Divine Spirit of Love my pass through the golden door of her Immaculate Heart and thus prepare humanity for a new era of grace and holiness.

“Just as in the Cenacle of Jerusalem the Apostles, reunited with me in prayer, prepared for the moment of the first Pentecost, so also in the cenacle of my Immaculate Heart – and consequently in the cenacles where you are gathered in prayer – you apostles of these last times can, with your
heavenly Mother, obtain a new effusion of the Holy Spirit,” (284p).
 

A GIFT OF THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY TO THE CHURCH IN OUR TIMES

THE MARIAN MOVEMENT OF PRIESTS  (MMP) is intimately connected with Fatima and its message.

On May 8, 1972, while praying in the Chapel of the Apparitions at Fatima, Rev. Fr. Stefano Gobbi, an Italian priest from Milan, felt an interior call to start the Marian Movement of Priests.

The MMP is “a movement”, “a spirit”, not an organized association with presidents, secretaries, fees etc.; however there are priests in charge at national, regional and local levels to serve as centers of unity, animation and information.

Rev. Fr. Stefano Gobbi is recognized as Our Lady’s chosen instrument and the spiritual center of unity.

Mary alone is its Leader. “The MMP must be my work alone . . . I myself will be the Leader of this army”. And again, “This is my work alone and no one will touch it. This work is willed by me for the great triumph of God and the conclusive defeat of Satan”. (#73h)

The book, To The Priests, Our Lady’s Beloved Sons, is a most precious gift from the Mother of God. She chose it as a means to spread her work. It contains what are deemed to be messages which, from July 1973 to December 31, 1997, she communicated to Fr. Stefano Gobbi through what is called interior locutions. Hence in the opinion of Fr. Gobbi’s spiritual director, “they are neither the fruit of personal meditations, nor a questionable literary contrivance.”

* Invocation to the Holy Spirit.
* Recitation of five decades of the holy rosary.
* Prayers for our Holy Father the Pope.
* Reading and meditation on a message given in the book,  “To the Priests, Our Lady’s Beloved Sons.”
* Fraternity/Fraternal Sharing.
· Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
